We had our Halloween/Reformation/Harvest party at church tonight for all of the kiddos, so Halloween pictures are ready to go a bit early this year!
On Thursday, we will do “trick or treating” at Jim’s office. Cubicle to cubicle, office to office. It’s really convenient for the little kids because it’s earlier and significantly less scary. Of course, then we have to spend the rest of the night hiding out in a dark house because I’m too cheap to buy loads of expensive candy to pass out to trick or treaters.
Anyway, I’m sure I’ll have more butterfly pictures again after Thursday, but for now- here is tonight’s Halloween ensemble.
I was able to put this costume together for about $10! Her shirt is from Wal-Mart, tights are last year’s cable knits, garage sale black shoes, my head band with pipe cleaner wrapped around it, her old purple headband from when she was a baby and some cheap tulle from the Hobby Lobby wedding aisle, Monarch wings from eBay! Tada!
Oh A! She's the sweetest little purple butterfly 🙂 $10 costume!? Get it Mama!
Hello Newlywed Life Blog
Thank you, Megan! I was happy with how it came together 🙂 I did just re-add it up, and it was a little closer to $15. Jim said I should disclose that! haha! But, yes, pretty thrifty!
Cutest butterfly I've ever seen! 🙂
What do you know! I agree with you! Thanks, Marla 🙂
Thank you, Ruthy!
You need to teach me how to braid 🙂
Maybe I'll just have to put together a little french braid tutorial 🙂
She is so beautiful!
Thank you, Candace 🙂
French braids. So so cute! Put her in a basketball uniform 😉
Haha!! At least I didn't tie them so tight that she looks like she had a face lift 😉
So precious, I love it!! How did you get her to sit still for those awesome braids, I would have been kicking and screaming! 🙂
Thank you, Ashley!
My secret hair styling weapon- the iphone 😉 Plus, I think I just got pretty lucky.
She looks so cute! I hope you have a great Halloween!
Thanks! I'm looking forward to swiping most of her candy here in a few days 😉
