Hello….It’s Me!

Well, hi. This feels awkward. I feel a little like I’m blowing dust off of my keyboard, tapping the microphone to see if this thing is still on?, and dipping my toe back into the water of something I love love loveeeeee (that’s blogging! and talking to you!) but just have.not.had.time.for.

I didn’t plan to take a blogging hiatus. I never thought, oh hey- middle of October seems like a good time to publish a post about candles and then never return LOL.

So, let me give you some cliff notes:

We moved! We sold our houses, left Joplin, and moved to Kansas City, MO! (more details coming, promise)

My parents lived with us while they were building a house…..in Joplin.

We finished and sold the flip house…without ever listing it.

We sold our Joplin house without ever listing it.

We house hunted in one day and picked our new home (it was nuts. I’ll tell you more later)

I basically had a mental health breakdown in December, was diagnosed with PTSD, annnnnd have a lot more to tell you about that.

Abigail had a birthday, the holidays passed, Jim worked in Kansas City all of January while I was with the kids in Joplin trying to wrap things up, and we finally loaded up the truck and headed north in the middle of February.

We got unpacked, sort of settled, ready to start exploring our new home annnnnd everything shut down and hasn’t opened since (not really, at least)

I’m also really busy running my A + Essentials team- we hit a HUGE milestone in the month of April, and it just gets better every day!

Mabel turned 5, Abigail finished 4th grade, Finn is potty training and about to move to a big boy bed.

We’re still trying for baby #4- no success yet!

And that’s probably enough for now.

I hadn’t updated this space since the winter of 2016 (!!) so I’m really excited for a fresh, new look and Jim and I are both planning to begin showing up here again regularly with all of the content and posts we wanted to share over the last 8 months, but just didn’t have the time to. AND we want to get back to sharing and documenting what is happening with our family, our new home, and life in general as time passes!

As always, I’m so grateful for all of you who have been reading and following along for years. (Since 2012!) I adore every single one of you and am blessed and thankful that the power of social media brought us into each other’s lives.

Until next time,
