Maternity Stitch Fix: Round Four

As I was trying to think up a title for this post, it dawned on me that since starting my Stitch Fix service for the first time in July of last year, I’ve had ONE fix where I wasn’t pregnant. My second fix came the week I found out I was pregnant- I just didn’t know it at the time(and I never blogged about that box anyway). The four boxes that have come since have been really awesome, but it was hilarious to me that I never really connected that I’ve kind of just been doing maternity Stitch Fix basically ever since I signed up.

Previous boxes:
#1
#3
#4
#5

That being said, this box was awesome. So awesome, in fact, that I’m debating keeping all of it. I have a few days to decide, so y’all be sure to give me your input on what you like and think are definite keepers! After this box I think I’m going to take a Fix hiatus until this fall. With a giant bump coming, the postpartum blahs, and a little extra time to try and get back in shape, I think it will be a bit before I’m ready to do fun clothes shopping(and subsequent posts) about it. So enjoy this one!

Do me a favor and let’s all pretend we don’t notice how badly I need to have my color touched up. Okay, that’s out of the way.

I specifically requested a kimono style top in this box because I’ve been seeing them around a lot recently and I think they’re super fun. They seem light weight and easy, a nice alternative to a cardigan, and seem pretty easy to dress up or down.

I’ll be honest, when I pulled this one out of the box I was a smidge disappointed just because when I think kimono, I think bright colors- possibly floral? But once I tried it on I was really happy with it. I like how it fits, I like how I can wear it year round, the black and white obviously goes with anything, and fun fact, I don’t own a single article of chevron clothing. So, there’s that.

Another item that I was disappointed with when I pulled it out of the box. I thought meh. A black jacket. Don’t need or want this. But then I put it on. And then Jim raved and raved out how much he liked it and wanted me to keep it. I really love how it fits and it’s a nice light weight jacket….which I actually don’t own. It won’t carry me through this spring because I could barely zip it up now, but it would be a great fit once there isn’t a multiple pound lady living inside me.
And it looks pretty great even unzipped. So, it has that going for it too.

Polka dots. Short sleeves. Black and white. Do I need to elaborate?

Myself and all of the stylists at Stitch Fix are on a quest to find the one cardigan that I am willing to keep. Will this be the one? I’m not sure yet. It fits perfectly, the color is nice, and it is a great in-between weight. It isn’t flimsy and light but it isn’t like a blanket sweater either.

Now this. This right here. This is a quintessential Courtney style top. I had one pinned on my Pinterest board so she snagged it for me and sent it my way. I knew when I pulled it out of the box that I would love it, and of course I do. It might seem boring and not very fun, and I guess it doesn’t really pull me much out of my comfort zone, but this is definitely the sort of fit and style that I gravitate toward. It is my happy place. It’s fitted but is also somewhat loose. It will stretch and accommodate Mabel for now, stretch and fit for after she’s outside but still needs me, and will be cute and stylish for when my body is my own again…you know like years from now.

So what do you think? Keep it all? Only a few? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. I do like this the best out of all of your boxes. So much better than the last time too! My favorites are the first two the chevron and the jacket. I am not a huge polka dot fan so I am just meh on that one and the other two are just okay for me. I guess it would depend on the price tag for those ones.

  2. Ummm… I say keep it all. Seriously. They're all awesome, wearable pieces, and it may end up cheaper to just keep it all vs. the pieces you like due to the discount (or just slightly more). Seriously, KEEP IT ALL!

  3. Love the kimono, the jacket and the dolman top! They're all cute, but those three are definite keepers and will be staples for years to come:) I have loved keeping up with your Stitch Fix boxes and am considering trying them after baby myself!:)

  4. I like it. Maybe not the red cardi as much BUT I think you get a 20% discount plus apply the $25 styling fee so I would keep. Your stuff seems so cute every time you model it. I have never tried S.F. because I am WAAAAYYYYY too cheap like $5 shirts cheap but either way, super cute stuff 🙂

  5. I got the same polka dot top! unfortunately I was like 85% in love and for $68 I needed to love it 100% lol. But it looks adorable on you – plus I think you should keep it all for the discount.

  6. "It would be a great fit once there isn't a multiple pound lady living inside me" because that's not something you hear every day.
I love the polka dotted top. Super cute and I think it could be both causal and dressy.

  7. I wore a shirt almost exactly like that last one today! Only it was maroon and black! 😀 I LOVE the chevron! LOVE it! it's a good after baby piece too! I hope you kept it : )

  8. I love the dolman top! It's totally something I would wear too! I feel like it can fit you now and after Mabel is born. Those were the exact kind of go-to shirts I had after Mason was born. You look cute but it still covers those extra pounds you haven't lost yet.
