Well y’all, I’ve got something that I really want to show you! We’ve been working on this project since February and it is finally(mostly) completed! I wavered back and forth on how to break this post up into different parts so that it wasn’t so big and overwhelming, but frankly, with the open layout of our home, there was just no way to do that! And besides, I’m just so super excited to show off all of the hard work Jim has done and the extremely minimal work that I have done(think, cleaning and vision…and that’s about it) that I’ve decided to just put everything here in one big old reveal post.
I’ll include a source list and links to the all of the products that I can at the bottom of the post and if I have a bunch of questions, I’ll do a follow up Q & A post soon! Feel free to pin away and share photos of our beautiful kitchen and living room. I’m proud of it!
But, perhaps, before we get totally started, should we start with a few “befores”? You can see a few in my home tour post, but here are a few others to refresh your memory.
And here is where we get to the good stuff! Don’t get me wrong, I loved my house before. I lived with it for almost 7 years how it was. But that is precisely why it was high time for a massive sprucing.
Because….so much brown….and yellow.
And that is it!
I still can’t believe the HUGE change just a few (relatively) simple updates made in our space. I absolutely LOVE it and I’m so, so happy that we decided to move forward with making our home exactly how we want it. There are still a few things that I would like to do; new bar stools, new light above the office area, some touch up paint still needs to be done, and of course, someday we’d like to replace our carpet. But, even without those things, our space is so beautiful, light, airy, and updated now and we are both so incredibly happy with it!
