Spena Baby Week 32!
Symptoms | Looking huge. Peeing all the time. I’ve noticed that my ankles are just now starting to swell a little bit. Not a ton but enough that I noticed my ankle bone isn’t quite as prominent as it usually is. I had my first middle of the night leg cramp this week and promptly ordered some Vitamin D supplements to hopefully keep that from happening ever again. Oh my word it was HORRIBLE!
Cravings |
So this was my dinner one night.
We were fixing leftovers and all that I really wanted was a huge helping of broccoli.
I’ve also been having a huge bowl of oatmeal with berries and almonds mixed in every morning and it is SO good.
Size Of Baby |
Jicama(??) or a squash!
3.75 lbs and 16.5 inches!
Movement |
Plenty. I’ve felt some sharp jabs- elbows and feet? I think? Which I love. I love that she is getting big enough to be able to tell what is what. She’s still head down and has been for a long time, which is great!
Sleep |
Other than the epic leg cramp and the occasional trip to the bathroom, I’m sleeping awesome. This morning I woke up and literally had not budged an inch from the time I fell asleep.
Purchases |
I went on a crunchy birthing book binge this week. With only 8 weeks to go I know that I need to refresh and prepare myself for labor and delivery so I ordered:
Ina May’s Guide To Childbirth (I borrowed this from a friend last time and loved it, so I decided to just get my own copy)
and I purchased “The Business Of Being Born” to watch- which I did.
I’ll do an entire post sometime with my “birth plan”, but probably not until I’ve given all of these a read and reread 🙂
Nursery |
A little progress has been made! Her room is clean, her closet is ready, one wall is “finished”, her curtains came in and will be hung tonight, and we hung up her lanterns(I still need to get another one or two).
I think the biggest thing is just painting the crib and getting it set up in her room. That will make a HUGE difference in how “finished” the room feels.
Can’t Wait For | Celebrating Easter this weekend with family and hopefully sneaking over to IKEA to grab a chair for Mabel’s room 🙂 🙂 (and you know some other things too- #DontTellJim)
You are looking adorable! Quick question for you – will you be doing the primrose evening oil this time (did you do it the first time around?) My doctor/midwife suggested it starting at 36 weeks last time around to help prepare for labor, and since you mentioned getting your 'crunchy' on, I wondered if you would be doing that?
Also, side note: the mint bathing suit is on its way to me as we speak. It's my first one piece since like 5th grade. We'll see how it goes (not that I can try it on anytime soon, lol!)
Oh, the leg cramps! I've been having those too. I don't remember having them with my other two! You're looking great!
Time seems to be flying! (Probably not for you though!) Love your outfit!
I love that cardigan/shrug you're wearing in the first picture- everything about it looks so summery! That is awesome that you wanted a big plate of vegetables for dinner- I haven't eaten many of those since they all sound yucky currently. Unless you count mashed potatoes 🙂
You are looking beautiful; I am still loving that kimono! And I hope you love Birthing From Within as much as I did!
You can never have tooooo many lanterns 🙂 Girl, you look fabulous (but I totally know feeling huge is different than looking huge… Mind games we play with ourselves lol)
Your broccoli dinner = amazingness. HA! LOVE IT! xx
You look adorable!! Sorry about the leg cramping – I remember those crazy pains!! My doc said eat bananas and drink lots of water to help keep them away. Hope you have a wonderful, Easter weekend!
Aaaah leg cramps! The worst. I've been dealing with some minor ones for the past few nights as well. 😛 You're looking so good! 🙂
Oh, IKEA. I would be in so much trouble if I still lived in KC now that it's there!!!! Ahh 🙂
You look adorable, not huge at all! Though I can understand the feeling! 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful Easter with your family! 🙂
Looking gorgeous as ever!
I can't wait to see Mabel's nursery!
And, send some of that awesome sleep this way, please and thank you. 🙂
You must have announced your pregnancy early because I feel like I thought you were further along! You look amazing though and I still see an ankle bone 😉 I remember those leg cramps and oh my word they are no joke!! Can't wait to meet miss mabel! 🙂
You are so adorable 🙂 I can't wait to meet Mabel! Also, "The Business of Being Born" scarred me the first time I watched it LOL. Way to be proactive!
But, those leg cramps – terrible, right? I'd blocked those.
You look adorable! This almost makes me want to be pregnant again! I was definitely one of those crazy mamas that loved being pregnant. Can't wait to see the nursery reveal! I LOVE nurseries!!!
Nice recommendation on the books! I got leg cramps too, it's the worst!
