Summer Life

I know, I know that according to the calendar it isn’t *technically* summer yet- but we’re a week into June, the high is over 90 today, and we’re done with school…so I’m calling it!

It has been a while since I’ve shared some pictures of daily life here, so I thought I would post some of the things that we have been up to recently!

The girls finished their semester of dance with a recital on Mother’s Day evening. My Mom and my Mimi were both here for it, so it was really special to have 4 generations of ladies together for a photo(plus Finn!)

The girls were absolutely precious in their dances and while we are enjoying our summer break, we can’t wait to get back to regular dance classes again this fall!

This has been the summer of baseball for Miss Abigail. She is the only girl on her team and she has really had to work SO hard, but she has done amazing. We are SO proud of her and all of the hard work that she has put in to learning how to play baseball.

She is now regularly hitting the ball at the plate and I’m thinking that we just might have gotten her hooked on a new favorite sport.

We also recently took a trip to Worlds Of Fun in Kansas City with the kids! The last time Jim and I visited Worlds Of Fun…..I was 15 years old and we were dating. CRAZY. It was so much fun to go back though. And we just happened to be there on a day with perfect weather and basically zero crowds. We never had to wait in line and a few times were the only people on the rides! It was amazing.

Aside from dance recitals, baseball games, and amusement parks- we’ve been spending a lot of time at home in the air conditioning! Since the weather decided to jump from snow to 90+ degrees, we like to hang out at home playing with the baby, doing crafts, watching shows, and since there isn’t a shortage of toys for these children- we use a lot of those too 😉

Basically, it is shaping up to be the very best summer ever (thanks to the sweetest three little ones) and we’re just enjoying all of it!

  1. Oh, the pictures at the amusement park where all three kids are sitting on the ground…I can’t get over how much like a big kid Finn is looking these days!
