2012 Year In Review

I’ve been busy organizing my huge amounts of photos(and yes, forcing myself to delete a few) into better categorized albums. So I thought, Hey! I should do a year in review style post.

Mama is sitting here feeling misty and weepy looking back at everything that has changed since this time last year. It goes so, so fast.

~January~

Mama gets a DSLR for Christmas. My photo quality soars and the magnitude of pictures do as well.

~February~

It’s cold. We play inside. Abigail’s hair is finally long enough for pigtails. I start this blog!

~March~

It finally starts to warm up out and we start spending lots of time outside. We go to the park regularly. At first Abigail hates the swings. Then she loves them. We get a visit from Angie Ness. We visit Grammy and Pappy. They visit us. So do Grandma Jenny and Grandpa Monty. The “cute baby” pose is born.

~April~

We celebrate Easter! We travel to Indiana for the Vera Bradley outlet sale. We visit Daddy’s office. We play outside. Abigail starts talking more and more.

~May~

We travel to Washington D.C. for Uncle Logan’s college graduation from Patrick Henry College. We commemorated the 1 year anniversary of the devastating Joplin tornado. Abigail and I go back to Indiana for a Memorial Day visit.

~June~

Abigail gets a new playhouse AND a swimming pool. We celebrate Father’s Day. Abigail learns the importance of chores.

~July~

We celebrate the 4th of July in Kansas City with family! Abigail grew big enough to start really helping me in the kitchen. First up: Cookies! We enjoyed an amazing visit with Mimi & Pa. Jim started a new job(within the same company) and we were invited to a pool party. It was our first time to meet everyone! We went back to Kansas City to visit with family that was in town and to celebrate Grandmother Ann’s 80th birthday.

~August~

Auntie Lauren came to our house for a visit. We voted in our primary election. We took an AMAZING beach vacation to Destin, FL. Read about it here, here, here, here, and here. Heh. My parents moved to Phoenix. We ditched(I mean, lovingly rehomed) our evil misunderstood cat, and had a fun weekend with Jim’s family as a reward.

~September~

Ladies bible study starts back up and Abigail brings me home artwork from the nursery. My Mom comes for her first visit post Phoenix relocation. We take Abigail to the zoo! We had our first trip to the ER with Abigail. We celebrate my 24th birthday. We are officially diagnosed with infertility.

~October~

We go to the city wide garage sale. We say farewell to our wonderful friend, Jared. We go to the last 3rd Thursday of the year. We have amazing fall family pictures taken by the stellar Aaron Wilcox. We celebrate Halloween/Reformation day. Abigail was the cutest little Cinderella I’ve ever seen.

~November~

My sweet little baby turned 2 years old. We had a super fun Down on the Farm birthday party for her. We voted in our Presidential Election. We had an amazing Thanksgiving in Arizona. We decorated for Christmas when we got back.

~December~

We celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary and Jim’s 27th birthday. We were blessed by a visit from our buddy Jared. We had one of the best Christmas celebrations I’ve ever had.

Whew! What an amazing year 2012 has been. Full of countless high’s and certainly some low’s as well. But, the Lord has been so faithful to our little family and we praise His name for continually showering so many blessings down upon us.
