Farm Birthday Party

I have absolutely grown to love planning/throwing parties. It is so much fun choosing a theme and then running with it. Carrying it out through the food, the decor, the drinks, all of it is so fun! Which is why I loved this Farm Birthday Party for Abigail’s 2nd birthday. It was so much fun to plan and put together!

I chose Abigail’s farm theme a while ago. She loves animals and does ALL of the animal noises. Particularly farm animals. At this point, I still happily choose her themes for her and pick ones that I can use things that we already have in my house!

I totally loved how her woodland party went down last year, so I basically wanted to achieve the same thing again. Except a different theme this year : )

The AMAZING farm birthday cake my own Mama made. A ton of work, but so worth it!

Also, yummy farm birthday royal icing cookies. Sheep, pigs, apples, cows, and cowboy boots!

Farm Birthday Party Favors:

The favors.
Each kiddo got to take home a box of 3 cookies with their own name on it. Each set of parents got to share a box, too 🙂

The Veggie Patch:

Mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, bell pepper, carrots, celery, tomates.

Also, instead of pigs in a blanket we had pigs in a pig. Jim’s favorite, lil smokies.

I sewed the cloth napkins and made the signs. The pinterest tutorial I found is here

The Watering Trough!

A pitcher full of ice water, strawberry and chocolate milk in mason jars(scored 50% off at Hobby Lobby, woot!) with paper straws and lids from this adorable etsy shop, here!

I also made Pioneer Woman’s Iced Coffee. Oh. My. Word. YUM. It was delicious!

We had mocha cream and vanilla creamer in the cute little cow for the coffee.

The birthday girl! We got her boots at Gymboree back when they were having their 13.99 and under sale. I made her bandana skirt from a tutorial here and we used iron on decals to snazz up her plain white T. Pigtails finished off the ensemble : )

Lots of wonderful friends and family came to celebrate Abigail turning 2. There were about 30 of us! Big crowd!

We’re all huddled in this picture because Jim made a wonderful 2nd birthday slideshow for everyone to watch.

Opening presents. She had TONS of help from all of her little friends opening gifts. Which, was totally cool with Abigail because she discovered the joy and wonder of kettle corn. So, really, she didn’t want to do anything but go track down more kettle corn and devour it. Presents were kind of meh compared to that.
Notice the plate of popcorn behind Jim in the bottom pic? Yeah. Bribing my kid to OPEN her gifts with kettle corn. Sheesh!

The two hit toys of today were her Ariel and Prince Eric coach and her shopping cart from Uncle Cameron.

It was such a great farm birthday party! We had so much fun. The kids were all great, the food was tasty, and the fellowship was sweet.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our sweet little girl!
