Happy Easter!
We had a wonderful Easter weekend. My parents came down on Thursday evening and stayed through Saturday morning, Jim’s parents came down Saturday afternoon and left Sunday evening. We had a wonderful time celebrating with both sets of Abigail’s grandparents!
Abigail loved going through her Easter basket from Grammy and Pappy. They got her fun snacks, books, bows, and cd’s. But the best gift of all:
A tee ball set that is just her size!! She has walked all over the house hugging her tee, is constantly saying “ball, ball!” and loves playing with it all together. Adorable!
We enjoyed a wonderful tenebrae good friday service together at our church, Christ The King, and a slow going Saturday morning before they headed to JBU to spend some time with Uncle Cameron.
Resurrection Sunday greeted us with beautiful weather and wonderful time with family! We ate delicious leftovers from our Easter dinner the night before for lunch, played Settlers of Catan while Abigail napped, and had an Easter egg hunt when she woke up.
I got Abigail’s Easter dress off ebay. It’s a brand new with tags Janie and Jack dress! I wanted to find an aqua colored dress for her this year. Her eyes look so pretty in this color:)
After Abigail woke up from her nap she opened her Easter basket from Mommy and Daddy and her Easter present from Grandpa Monty and Grandma Jenny. She got a recordable book and a bath puff from Grandma and Grandpa and 2 veggie tale dvd’s, a FP little people toy, and two bibles from Mommy and Daddy.
After presents were opened we headed outside to find some Easter eggs! Abigail LOVED it! She would hold her hands out to say, “Where are the eggs?” and then once she found one she would point to it and clap her hands. She did a great job picking them up and putting them in the basket. I think it is a game Mama and A will have to play just for fun around the house now, too!
