To The Zoo

Last week, we were able to join our Classical Conversations group for a visit to the Springfield Zoo! Jim was able to take the day off and come with us, which was amazing because that never happens!

It was supposed to be in the 60’s that day, but the morning decided to be drizzly, windy, and barely above 40 degrees. We had to buy gloves in the gift shop because we severely underestimated how cold it was going to be, lol!

Either way, we ended up having a wonderful time together. We were so glad to get to go!

We walked around the entire zoo, stopped to eat and play at McDonald’s on the way home (girls choice), and had a great afternoon at home together once we got back!

I hope in the future that there are more days of the five of us together just like this one! 🙂

We love visiting the zoo together! I can’t wait until next time we visit to get to take them on the train (it was closed this particular day) and maybe do a picnic lunch if the weather will cooperate!
