Baby Spena Week 14

Well helllllo second trimester! I can’t believe it! While, at times it has seemed like first tri would never end, for the most part I can’t believe how unbelievably fast it passed and how I’ve already entered into the best and happiest trimester!

I promise not to do this every post, but for some reason week 14 always stands out in my mind with my pregnancy with Abigail, so here is an OLD picture of me at 14 weeks with Abigail, and under that 14 weeks with Mabel, and now 14 weeks with this baby!

I feel like I’m clearly heavier and bigger this time around, though oddly enough, I feel like I look the smallest with Mabel! So, whatever. Bodies are weird and pregnancy just makes them weirder :p

Symptoms: Still dealing with the same symptoms mostly- intermittent nausea throughout the day, though it is always the worst around dinner time/evening. Exhaustion, bloating, gas, crazy dreams, endless trips to the bathroom….the usual!

Cravings: I don’t have any real cravings per se- Jim will ask me what I want for dinner, then I will search deep within my soul for anything that doesn’t sound revolting and that’s what I’ll have.

Fortunately I have been able to add eggs back into my diet, so I’ve been having those for breakfast almost every morning and I have had a specific hankering for chips and salsa/queso. Salty is the way to go.

Aversions: Mostly everything- especially the trash can, kitchen sink, refrigerator and dishwasher….basically I try to avoid my kitchen at all costs…

Size Of Baby:

Lemon

Sleep: No complaints really, I have been using a body pillow for now, but I still plan to order a Snoogle! I’ve been having crazzzzy dreams, waking up a few times to go to the bathroom at night, and taking a nap every afternoon when the girls do.

Clothing: Wearing maternity pants + regular tops. My maternity stitch fix box just came this weekend, so I can’t wait to share that with you soon!

Gender: Completely divided still! One day will make me think girl, another will make me think boy. Can NOT wait to find out though!

Purchases: Last week was the spring Rhea Lana sale! I am disappointed because this sale fell before we know what we are having, and the fall sale will happen after(or during) he/she is already here! So, I went ahead and shopped for some boy things. (Since if we have a girl, she won’t really need anything.) But I don’t have ANY boy stuff! I went during the half price sale and figured anything I buy but can’t use, I can just sell myself later(or donate!)

I got some boy clothes, boy sleep sacks, AND found a Solly baby wrap for TWENTY DOLLARS. Most of you probably know/remember how much use I got out of my Solly with Mabel- I used that thing daily until she was probably 10 months old. So I was really hoping to get another color to add into my Solly rotation. I was so excited when I stumbled upon it, I legit teared up right there in the middle of the sale.

I texted Jim and told him that I had just found a Solly for $20! And he said, “Uh, what’s a Solly?” :p

Looking Forward To: My parents are coming to town this week! I absolutely can not wait and I seriously hope I can spend more time with them this time than last AND maybe even feel brave enough to venture out for some fun things while they’re here! Either way, I can’t wait for them to get here to enjoy time with the girlies!
