Learning To Play Just Like Big Sis With LEGO® DUPLO®

Thank you LEGO® DUPLO® for sponsoring this post. Looking for creative play ideas for your little one? Find more play and learning inspiration at https://www.lego.com/family

As a first born, I have always easily identified with my Abigail. We are in sync(most of the time!) and we just understand each other. With Miss Mabel, I have been learning all about the ways of second born children. She takes me a little more time to understand and see where she is coming from(yes, already!)

I love her unique personality, her differing perspective, and I love the change of pace and special gifts she has already brought to our family.

One of the things that has been so fun to watch is how much she wants to be like her big sister. She follows her around the house, copies the things she says and does, and tries to play with all of her toys!

After our trip to LEGO Land this summer, Abigail has become a veritable LEGO expert! Which means, little Miss Mabel wants to be one too!

Fortunately, LEGO toys creates Lego bricks just for her: LEGO® DUPLO®!

LEGO® DUPLO® preschool building toys are specially designed for the small hands and big imaginations of children aged 1½ – 5 years. DUPLO bricks are twice the size of standard LEGO bricks, making them a safe way to kick off Miss Mabel’s building career!

Mabel loves having her very own set of Duplo bricks to build and play with just like big sis(and who are we kidding, big sis likes playing with them too!)

How could you and your little one build great memories by exploring “what if” with LEGO® DUPLO® play?

  1. First, Mabel’s outfit is perfection! Duplos are so much fun. I got Cam’s out a few months back to help distract Emmy from using his regular Legos. While at the Lego store a few weeks ago she saw a Minnie Mouse set and was super excited. Guess we’ll have to tell Santa.

  2. We love duplos! The kids and I both love playing with them and I love that they can be washed in the dishwasher. I started giving them to our youngest to play with around 9 months. He loves pulling stacks of them apart, but can’t yet build with them.
