Favorite Maternity Clothes Finds

So I’m on my third time around with this big belly(and thighs and arms and chins….but mostly that belly!) and am still finding fun and new ways to wear my favorite maternity clothes that feel comfortable and in a way that makes me feel confident and happy.

Obviously, styles have changed a lot over the last 7 years since I’ve been experiencing pregnancy. So the things that I wore when I was pregnant with Abigail, aren’t necessarily things I would wear today.

That being said, I feel like I’ve fairly honed in my pregnancy style (at least, the style that exists on the days when I’m not wearing Jim’s basketball shorts and old t-shirts) and my go-to maternity items.

So I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite maternity clothes finds with you!

Dresses:

Black Tank Dress

This dress is one of my all time favorite Stitch Fix pieces EVER. I seriously could not love this dress more. I haven’t been able to find it anywhere online to link to….so I guess just sign up for Stitch Fix and request this dress :p

One of my very favorite maternity brands this time around has been Ingrid & Isabel. Seriously LOVING their stuff. This dress has been one of my favorites from even the earliest of bump days and it is still hanging in there!

Because, seriously, who wants to wear pants?

Dresses are great because they make you feel fancy and pulled together, when in reality, you just didn’t want to have to pair together an outfit. Also, breatheability. Ya feel me?

Swimsuits:

Oof. Summer pregnancy. Am I right?? This is the first time I have ever had to shop for maternity swimsuits and that’s just not cool, man. But! I found this swimsuit and have been really pleased with it. I also ordered a swimsuit from here and while I haven’t been photographed in it….yet…..I’m also really happy with it!

Flowy + Fitted Tops:

My last two pregnancies I did more with just fitted tops, but I’ve been feeling a little more self conscious this time around, so I’m enjoying pairing the fitted tops of yesteryear, with something flowy over it to help me feel like not every lump and bump is showing.

I’ve had this kimono for years, but I tried to link to some similar and fun top ideas!

Shorts:

Try as I might, I still can’t quit shorts. I know some people hate them, but for me, they’re easy and comfy and I’m glad to have a few great pairs in my weekly rotation. The ones in this picture also came from a Stitch Fix box, but I’ve found a few other pairs since that I love *almost* as much!

Loose, comfy tees:

And lastly, comfy tees! Who could survive without them!?

I’ve been sent a few adorable ones from The Brave Mama Co and Bourne Southern, but another favorite is from ILY Couture!

So there you have it! Some of my favorite maternity finds 🙂

I’d love to hear from you! What are some of your favorite places to buy maternity clothes? What do you wear the most when you’re expecting? (And don’t tell me about your awesome rubber band pants trick….that has been a massive no-go 3 out of 3 times for me :p)

  1. I really hate shopping for maternity clothes haha. But with this pregnancy, I was able to find some cute distressed jeans at Target that I have been wearing a lot this pregnancy. I also have been wearing a regular black maxi and throwing on a bright tee over the dress and tying a knot above my bump to make it look more like a skirt/top combo. But honestly, my “style” has been frumpy mom-on-the-go. So embarrassing haha. I can’t wait to be back in regular clothes!

  2. I have yet to find a pair of maternity shorts that I am willing to wear, dressesand I hate maternity jeans almost as much as I hate maternity shorts. I know, Miss Negativity over here. I live for dresses, skirts, and flowy tops paired with tight tanks while pregnant. Your Stitch Fix dress is great, and you look amazing in it!

  3. You look amazing in all those dresses, wowzers! I’m already starting to think about that 4th trimester and finding all the cute nursing friendly dresses I can!

  4. First time Igrid & Isabel wearer and holy soft and comfy and beautiful! I am right there with you on layering but I think it makes the bump look cuter 🙂

  5. So cute! I loved the basic tee’s from Motherhood Maternity. They were such nice quality compared to maternity options at Target/Old Navy. They held their shape, had great stretch and were so comfy. I also loved pairing those tops with kimonos. I loved flowy floral tops from Old Navy. Skinny jeans from Motherhood or leggings. Love your style. I was never pregnant in the summer (thank heavens because I’m SO hot natured), but your maternity shorts are super cute. You’re beautiful lady!!

  6. I used that rubber band for a hot second…then I just left my pants unbuttoned!
I LIVED in maxi skirts though…and I think pregnancy is when my kimono love affair started (it’s still going and my baby is two…)

  7. Dresses were my go to when I was pregnant with Mason! It’s so hot here in Texas for all of about 2 months and dresses just seemed to work best. You have such cute pieces and you always look adorable.
