Stitch Fix Review #3

You might be thinking, Stitch Fix review#3?? What happened to SF box #2? Well listen, lemme tell ya. My 2nd SF box arrived on Monday, September 22nd. I found out that I was pregnant the morning of Tuesday, September 23rd. Things got a wee bit crazy there and I had to return my items before I ever had a chance to photograph them or anything. Truthfully, it wasn’t my favorite box either. Most of the items were just kinda “meh”. I ended up keeping one shirt BECAUSE I had found out I was expecting. It’s way more blousey than what I would normally wear, but will be perfect for the weird early showing days and the awkward postpartum ones as well. Win win!
Okay, so here is my review of Stitch Fix box #3! I loooooved this box. I really, really, really did. Of course, I’m also super sick up in these parts right now, so this time, you get dirty bathroom mirror selfies. But hey, at least I moved all of the naked barbies out of sight first.
Um, how sweet and cute is Sophie?? She took the time to even read my blog? I mean, how rad is that!

Item #1 | Alexander Graphic Knit Drape Front Cardigan

Alexander Graphic Knit Drape Front Cardigan
I adore this sweater! The colors are great, I loved the print, and it fit me perfectly. I really wavered on whether to keep this one or not, but ultimately decided because it was a really heavy material that it was a wee bit on the walking blanket side of things and that I might not really wear it all that often….so I begrudgingly sent it back.

Item #2 | Side Button Hooded Poncho

Side Button Hooded Poncho

Who else thinks that I’m channeling my inner TWD Michonne in the first picture? Eh? This top was super fun to try on, but I couldn’t really think of a time that I would ever really wear it. It had adorable features and detailing but, once again, not something I’d probably get a lot of use out of. Soooo, sent back.

Item #3 | Margerie Stripe & Dot Open Cardigan

Stitch Fix Polka Dot cardigan
Such a cute cardigan!! I loved the two different patterns, with the striped outside and the polka dot inside. I also loved how it was fitted in the back to help keep the sweater from being way too “drapey”. That being said, I decided to keep a different item from my box that I just loved a little bit more instead….so this one was sent back.

Item #4 | Benzer Mixed Material Sweater

Stitch Fix Mixed Material Sweater
Meh. Not in love with this top for sure. I really, really loved the burgundy color and it did fit well, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the attached small bit of “shirt” that hangs out underneath. Cool concept, just not my favorite. Sent back.

Item #5 | Wilco Solid Quilted Vest

Stitch Fix Green Vest

Winner winner chicken dinner!

I remember Jim and I watching Last Comic Standing once and one of the comedians had a bit during one of his sets about vests. Something to the affect of, “my arms are SO HOT but my torso is FREEZING.”

The green color, the gold zipper, the pockets, and the fact that I have about 100 vests pinned to my Style Pinterest board I just had to keep this one.

I had requested that they only send me tops, specifically things for fall/winter and my stylist TOTALLY delivered on that! I absolutely loved this box and I am super excited for my next one(scheduled right before our trip to Europe!)

PS. Yes! I’m absolutely wearing my jeans from Stitch Fix box #1!

What do you think about my choices? What would you have kept??

  1. LOVE that vest!! I've been on the hunt for one for weeks and finally found a great one at Old Navy. I'm hoping to get a lot of wear out of it once the temperature drops a bit here. Hope you're feeling better. Get lots of rest and try to take it easy 🙂

  2. Loved your fix! THAT VEST! I'm obsessed with stitch fix. I get a box every other month. I have had the same stylist the last two and purchased EVERY SINGLE ITEM.

  3. The options this time around were spot on! I loved all of your choices! I surprisingly really liked the first sweater. It's normally not my style but it looks so comfy & cozy!

LOVE the vest! So glad you kept that!

  4. Thank you for including the paper that comes with the box! I've sen quite a few reviews of Stitch Fix and nobody ever includes that paper. So nice to see that they show you some styling tips because that is what I am HORRIBLE at. I don't know why but I just can't picture it but I can totally copy a picture lol.
I love #2, #4, and #5! I would have been in trouble if I got that box! Haha.
