Stitch Fix Maternity Clothes Review #18

So my last Stitch Fix box was a total bust. So much so, that I didn’t even take any pictures of the items that I was sent! I received some awesome jegging style skinny jeans(that were already snug on my waist), a kimono, and a few other tops that I just didn’t love. I also was feeling sick, sick!

I share this with you, lest you think I always get AMAZING Stitch Fix boxes. Most of the time, they’re the very best! But every once in a while, things just don’t align quite right and it doesn’t work out. I’m okay with that risk, because I love Stitch Fix and really, really love the service- but also understand how that isn’t for everyone.

BUT, that being said, after I sent everything back- I received an email shortly thereafter apologizing for the fix that I didn’t love and a waived styling fee for my next box. So, right then and there I booked my next fix(this one!) for much sooner than I normally would have- because Mama needs some Stitch Fix maternity clothes!

Here we go! Fix #18:

These shorts were perfection. I didn’t have any, I needed a pair, these fit the bill. These should carry me all the way through to due date I think! Hooray!

Le Lis Bevan Maternity Side Slit Knit Top

I paired this casual top with a pair of leggings and my current favorite casual shoe. It was light and flowy and comfy!

Some behind the scenes Stitch Fix post pictures for ya 😉

Full Moon Xenia Maternity Lace Sleeve Detail Knit Top

This top was really fun! A super fun pattern, NO side ruching(massive maternity top win there), with pretty lace detail on the sleeves. Unfortunately, the fabric wasn’t super breathable and it was a little busy for my personal preference- so it wasn’t quite love. It was more like, reserved general approval.

Le Lis Barrymore Woven Back Knit Top

Ughhhh, looking back at these pictures I am kicking myself(as I knew I would) for sending this top back. I received a really similar top in fix #17 and returned it because I didn’t like how it looked from the front. And I had the same complaint this time. I loved the colors, LOVED the colors of this top. I loved the style and the back! Oh the back. It was flowy and lovely and looking at it in these photos I adore it.

Kut From The Kloth Ophelia Maternity Bootcut Jean

These were SUCH a fantastic pair of maternity jeans. If my due date was any other time(September!) I absolutely would have kept them. I don’t have a pair of bootcut maternity jeans and these would have made a great addition to my closet. But, once I really thought about it, I realized that it is going to start getting hot soon and I really won’t be reaching for the jeans in my closet anymore…and probably not again until well after baby arrives.

SO, ultimately, I ended up just keeping the maternity shorts. At first glance I thought I might be keeping everything, but after trying it all on and thinking over it for a long while, the shorts were the best option for me. Though, like I already said, I am regretting returning the Le Lis top!

What did you think of this fix? What would you have kept?

  1. Maternity shorts for the win! I totally need a pair of those. And agree that the Le List top is beautiful, although with young kids, I could only pull off that much white for date night.

  2. I had those exact same shorts for my pregnancy and I agree they’re AMAZING! I didn’t bother with maternity jeans either since I was due in October and couldn’t justify them for just about 6 weeks worth of weekend only wear. I think you made the right choice!

  3. Those shorts will be great and I lived in comfy maternity t-shirts. You’ll have to find another gray one because it looked like it would be perfect for summer and a striped one, too!

  4. I love the length of that gray top. It’s hard to find tops that are not cropped these days. And those blush colored slides!! I’m chomping at the bit to run to Target and grab some. I’m too impatient to order them online. Becky posted about them today and now seeing them on you I know I need them!

  5. I love the gray and white tops – and the shorts and jeans, of course! How SF sends pants/shorts that are so fabulous is beyond me! And your bump is just adorable!

  6. SF works its magic again with the shorts. HOW DO THEY DO THAT?!
That Le Lis top was c-u-t-e! I bet a little search on the b/t/s board would render a find for the gem!

  7. Ohhh I may have to request those bootcit jeans, they looked great on you! And blush is totally your color.

  8. Your whole box was amazing! You easily could have kept everything. I do love that white top that you sent back, but realistically, with kids, it probably was a good idea to send it back. But those shorts are amazing! You will get so much wear out of those this summer!

  9. Cute baby bump 🙂 I’m a bit of a dummy and haven’t bought a single pair of maternity pants (for either pregnancy), and I’ve been surviving somehow this time, but I think maternity pants would have been a good purchase. Oh well. Those jeans are cute! But I agree about the timing of your due date. I’m glad you had a better box this time and that they waived your styling fee 🙂

  10. When we moved to Texas, I was 20 weeks pregnant with my baby girl and it was an over 100* summer. I bought some maternity shorts from Old Navy and basically LIVED in them!!!
